Job Description:

We are seeking a talented, entry-level Software Test Engineer with a strong desire to learn and develop their skills in performance testing.

Duties of this position include:

1. Create and execute automated performance tests in support of various Ellucian development efforts.

2. Collect and analyze data during the execution of testing activities and prepare reports summarizing the data.

3. Provide recommendations for tuning infrastructure and application performance.

4. Constantly learn new tools and technologies and apply your learning in real-world scenarios.

Candidate Profile:

Skills :

1. Knowledge of Selenium, Apache JMeter or other automated testing tools.

2. Good understanding of Java application server, relational database, network and operating system principles.

3. Good working knowledge of SQL.

4. Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and at least 1 object-oriented language.

5. Strong desire to learn new tools and technologies.

6. Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing.

7. Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills.

8. Ability to occasionally work off-hours or extended hours in support of various projects.
