Job Description:

1. The world of information technology is undergoing massive change because of the advent of the Cloud.

2. Seagate Cloud Systems and Solutions is a leading provider of data storage systems and services: this includes high performance platforms that provide a range of advanced, scalable data storage solutions for the Cloud, Original Equipment Manufacturer and High Performance Computing communities.

3. The role involves analysing requirements, developing a proof of concept, developing, building, testing and then transferring to production solutions to leading edge data storage problems.

Candidate Profile:

Requirements:

1. A need to know how things work, a desire to fix them if they don’t and an urge to improve them!

2. Expect to achieve, or already have, a 2:1 honours degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline such as aeronautical engineering

3. A passion for IT

4. A keen interest in technology generally; a hunger to develop your knowledge of storage technology such that you fully understand our existing products and contribute to innovation in our new products

5. Good written and verbal communication skills in English

6. Excellent problem solving skills with a willingness to take ownership of difficult problems

7. Excellent teamwork skills

8. Willing to travel overseas
