Job Description:

1. Developing deep understanding of Bluetooth LE Firmware, Stack, Profiles

2. Development & Validation of Bluetooth LE applications with a clear understanding of the APIs

3. Develop a thorough understanding of overall system and silicon architecture, development tools and applications

4. Responsible for Integration, OS porting & customization of Bluetooth Low Energy firmware/upper layer stack or other components based on customer requirements

5. Development of Bluetooth standard profiles, custom profiles as per market requirement

6. Trouble-shooting & support for customers working together with cross functional teams

7. Assume ownership of software modules, supporting enhancements, bug fixes and feature enhancements

8. Deep understanding of hardware abstraction layers of related peripheral interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C

9. Actively represent Cypress in Bluetooth SIG technical working groups

10. Develop application notes.

Candidate Profile:

Required Skills:

1. Experience in Bluetooth software design/development involving areas such as Bluetooth firmware, Bluetooth/Bluetooth LE Upper Layer stack/profile development

2. Excellent skills in C with hands-on software and/or firmware design / implementation experience.

3. Knowledge of additional short-range wireless technologies such as Zigbee, 802.15.4 and 802.11/WLAN will be an added advantage.

4. Knowledge of multi-layered wireless software implementations, microcontroller based RTOS and driver development, Application Development,

5. Thorough working knowledge of embedded software design, architecture, implementation techniques and tools

6. Excellent analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.

7. Hands-On exposure to ARM-based microcontroller platforms (ARM) and build environments (IAR / GCC etc.)

8. Ability to work with design teams to debug & isolate issues between silicon & software

9. Strong exposure to security algorithms is an added advantage
